Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Yahoo! Sports Collaborate on Yahoo! SportsTalk Live

Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and Yahoo! Sports are partnering to produce Yahoo! SportsTalk Live, a new hour-long sports roundtable discussion show featuring opinionated commentary, in-depth analysis and lively debate on the day’s trending sports and entertainment stories in the Bay Area.

Yahoo! SportsTalk Live made its debut on Monday, June 3 at 5 p.m. PT.  The inaugural show was held live on location from the Yahoo! campus in Sunnyvale, CA.

Hosted by Jim Kozimor, Yahoo! SportsTalk Live will combine the reputation of Yahoo! Sports as the digital leader in scores and news, with an innovative, high-energy interactive format to deliver the hottest sports stories and topics on the minds of Bay Area sports fans. Airing Monday-Friday from 5-6 p.m., the program will continue to feature San Francisco Chronicle writers as well as a wide array of guests including Yahoo! Sports’ award-winning roster of reporters and fantasy experts, local and national media, athletes, coaches, front-office executives and other notables from the sports and entertainment industries.

Yahoo! SportsTalk Live is an extension of the partnership between the NBC Sports Group and Yahoo! Sports, which was announced in December 2012. In a content and promotional deal, the joint venture brings together Yahoo!’s popular sports coverage and NBC’s digital and television assets for a superior lineup of impactful content. As part of the NBC Sports Group, Comcast SportsNet will feature Yahoo!’s national reporters and commentators, popular fantasy sports products and coverage of large-scale sporting events.

Yahoo! SportsTalk Live will cultivate viewer participation through social media, giving Bay Area sports fans an integral role in developing the show’s format and tone through their voices and opinions. Fans can engage Yahoo! SportsTalk Live through CSNBayArea.com, Facebook (Facebook.com/CSNBayArea) and Twitter (@YSTL).  Viewer comments will be addressed by Kozimor and his panel of guests.

Yahoo! SportsTalk Live will originate from the network’s state-of-the art studio, newsroom and HD production facilities occupying 37,000 square feet at 360 3rd Street in San Francisco.  The network is backed by some of the most experienced on-air personalities in sports and by a 150+-person news team of reporters, editors, producers, talent bookers, researchers, and other professionals.
