NAB 2016: LiveU Features Live IP Video Solutions

LiveU (Booth C1717) is demonstrating its cost-effective, cloud-based solutions, featuring an exclusive live studio at the booth, and — in collaboration with TWiT.tv, NewTek, and Panasonic — showcasing IP–broadcast technology.

“With audiences driving the change in viewing habits, IP-based workflows are here to stay. But managing the content is half the battle,” says LiveU co-founder/COO Avi Cohen. “Broadcasters and online video-content creators need to differentiate their content by delivering high-quality video on-the-fly, maintaining reliable connectivity, and sharing it with the world seamlessly. This can be accomplished with LiveU’s end-to-end IP video solutions.”

For the Online-Media Market
LiveU Solo, a new plug-and-play live-streaming bonded solution, fits seamlessly with web streaming workflows. Optimized for online-video performance, Solo delivers rock-solid video streams via the LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) protocol’s integral adaptive-bitrate and forward-error-correction technology.

LiveU Solo connects automatically to Wowza Streaming Cloud, as well as to other popular CDNs, OVPs, and YouTube Live, making live video simple. Solo can be managed and controlled remotely via a web interface or smartphone.

NewTek Open NDI Protocol
LiveU’s adoption of NewTek’s open Network Device Interface standard means LiveU is a source recognized by other NDI-enabled devices and systems connected to a standard Ethernet local-area network, exponentially increasing the number of video sources available for live production. This new standard for live-production IP workflow is bidirectional and compatible with a large number of devices from manufacturers already using NewTek’s open standard, allowing IP connectivity between devices and applications.

Sharing With Multiple Locations
LiveU’s MultiPoint IP video-distribution solution eliminates reliance on satellite uplinks cost -effectively. It’s fully integrated into LiveU Central, a unified, browser-based cloud-management platform that enables broadcasters to share high-quality, live video between multiple broadcast locations over the public internet. Customers can now share content across up to 100 locations with no additional hardware.
