The Studio-B&H Live YouTube Video Takes Look at UHD, HDR, and VR

The Studio-B&H NAB Show Live gave NAB attendees a chance to sit in on interesting conversations featuring industry leaders and now those videos are available on YouTube. Among the highlights for those involved in sports production was a session entitled “UHD, HDR And VR: A New Landscape In Sports Broadcasting Technology” that was moderated by Ken Kerschbaumer, Editorial Director, Sports Video Group, and features Larry Thorpe, Senior Fellow, Canon USA Professional Division; Scott Rinehart, Lead Technologist, Notre Dame Fighting Irish Digital Media; and Lance Loesberg, CEO & Executive Producer, BigLook360. The broad-ranging discussion covered topics like the future of VR and how it will impact the industry, an update on the maturity of 4K camera systems and lenses, and figuring out how and when to make the plunge into 4K camera systems.
