IBC 2016: NewTek to highlight growing community of NDI users

At IBC 2016, NewTek (stand 7.K11) will continue to demonstrate Network Device Interface (NDI), the enabling technology that allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate with one another over IP, and to encode, transmit, and receive many streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. More than 1,000 companies have downloaded the NDI SDK and hundreds are working with NewTek creating NDI commercial products, many of which have released NDI-compatible products since NAB 2016. These products, in addition to NewTek products and other newly compatible devices from manufacturers and developers already using NewTek’s previous technology allowing IP connectivity, have put NDI into the hands of over 1,000,000 customers worldwide, making it the most prolific IP-based workflow in the production market, according to NewTek.

NewTek will also present TalkShowÒ VS 4000, the only professional, multi-channel video calling production system for both SDI and IP workflows, designed exclusively for conducting multiple live, production-ready Skype video calls simultaneously. This new version handles up to four remote video guests simultaneously or in sequence using SDI or IP workflows.

In addition NewTek will demonstrate the latest TriCasterÒ multi-camera video production solutions, equipped with TriCaster Advanced Edition, a software option available for TriCaster 8000, 860, 400 and Mini series. With over 100 operator-centric capabilities requiring no additional hardware, TriCaster Advanced Edition enables advanced IP workflows that help grow audiences, elevate brand standards and save valuable time. Among the many new integrated features, the latest update of TriCaster Advanced Edition implements NewTek’s groundbreaking NDI technology.

The latest version of NewTek’s 3Play sports production system for instant replay and slow motion will also be on display. 3Play has enhanced live broadcasts and live streams at sporting events including the PSA (Professional Squash Association) World Tour, the IJF’s (International Judo Federation) global tournaments, as well as non-sporting live events including the Ultra Music Festival.
