Encompass Expands Global Footprint With New, Cloud-based Facility in New Delhi

Encompass Digital Media, a global technology services company delivering end-to-end video solutions to broadcast and digital media companies, announced an expanded global footprint with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art facility in New Delhi, India. The facility is built to Encompass’ global redundancy standards to include technical power and HVAC.

Encompass will be providing round-the-clock channel monitoring for ChannelReady clients worldwide from the center in New Delhi. ChannelReady is Encompass’ latest innovation in cloud-edge playout technology offering a cost-effective, scalable playout platform to rapidly launch new channels including traditional, commercial-opt, and OTT.

Initially, the playout facility will be processing 15,000 hours of content per month with the growing capacity to monitor 300+ channels. The new location offers its clients continuous software monitoring, content quality control and an always-available response team. “Being able to cost effectively playout, manage and monitor a high volume of content anywhere around the world is enabled by recent technology developments,” comments Encompass CEO Chris Walters. “Our new monitoring facility uniquely positions Encompass to service clients globally with greater efficiency than ever before,” he says.
