IBC 2017: Ross Video XPression will demo next-gen software

Ross Video announces that XPression, the company’s real-time graphics engine, will be demonstrated as a new generation on Stand 11.C10 at IBC this year. The latest advancement in the XPression real-time motion graphics software will feature a 64-bit version of the XPression render engine software. The next generation of XPression software will also include the ability to import 3D models, lights, cameras and materials from Autodesk FBX, as well as Maxon Cinema4D content.

Through XPression, by using a host of “just in time” and caching techniques that can already load and render very large projects, the 64-bit architecture allows for even larger XPression projects, and more memory for caching textures and scenes to expand on the fastest and most reliable recall times in the industry today.

“XPression has always provided the fastest recall times in real-time motion graphics engine in the industry,” says Patrick Twomey, Director of XPression Product Marketing at Ross Video. “The shift to a 64-bit version will allow us to continue on this path. XPression will provide improved cache handling in the render pipeline not only for the traditional insert graphics workflows, Tessera and Distributed Workflows, but also for the real-time Augmented Reality and Virtual Set graphics the market is moving towards.”
