IBC 2017: Signiant unveils next-gen partner ecosystem for SaaS era
Signiant announced that several new technologies developed by partners will be showcased interoperating with the company’s platform at IBC 2017.
The Signiant SaaS platform provides a powerful interface to on-premises and cloud storage, allowing authorized people and processes to easily share large media assets across globally distributed locations. Behind the scenes, Signiant’s patented acceleration technology minimizes the impact of latency and packet loss to ensure fast, reliable access to media, regardless of distance. With a subscription-based commercial model, the platform enables customers to easily deploy unlimited numbers of ‘portals’ for file access and sharing, utilizing their choice of on-premises, AWS, or Microsoft Azure storage.
As a pioneer in bringing cloud-native SaaS to the Media & Entertainment technology space, Signiant has been granted five cloud architecture patents and has established a huge market footprint with its SaaS platform. The company’s user-centric offering, known as Media Shuttle, has become the de facto standard for sending and sharing large media files. Used by hundreds of thousands of media professionals around the world, Shuttle connects 25,000 companies in 200 countries. Also available on the company’s SaaS platform is Signiant Flight, a high-speed utility for moving large media assets in and out of the cloud in support of both file-based and live workflows. Flight has likewise defined a new product category and now plays a key role in mission-critical cloud workflows throughout the media ecosystem. Together, the two offerings have been instrumental in helping media enterprises understand and embrace the many benefits of auto-scaling, multi-tenant SaaS.
With the Signiant SaaS platform now providing the storage abstraction framework for much of the world’s content during its B-to-B journey, customers are increasingly looking for ways to seamlessly utilize it in conjunction with other innovative software solutions. Demonstrations of the Signiant platform interoperating with technology from Fortium, Hybrik, and GrayMeta will be presented at IBC 2017 on Stand 14.L08.
