NAB 2016: AJT Systems To Launch New LiveBook GFX Laptop Scorebug Solution

AJT Systems will release, for the first time at NAB, their LiveBook GFX laptop scorebug solution with the ability to show insert graphics and Scorebug graphics, and with all major sports — Baseball, Football, Soccer, and Basketball — supported.

UntitledAJT Systems has been developing professional broadcast graphics technology for over 15 years. And in working with clients, like ESPN and NBAtv, the company saw a need in the industry for a system that can produce the same high-end graphics as the major broadcasters – but in a way that is substantially more affordable, easier to use, allows for user customization, and is available in a compact form factor to facilitate cramped production trucks and broadcast facilities. To address this need AJT Systems released the first laptop based Scorebug System at NAB 2013, LiveBook GFX.

Since its release at NAB 2013, AJT Systems has been building SportApps — sport-specific applications — that allow operators to easily drive graphics with the click of a button. This software is revolutionary, in that it is the first and only scorebug software to have preview and program windows, similar to a switcher. This capability, which was made possible by their patent-pending SmartZoom technology, allows operators to preview their graphics before sending them to air. Additional features of the SportApp that assist in avoiding operator errors include a highly intuitive UI and pre-defined league rules so that operators cannot accidentally show inaccurate graphics or data for a particular league.

Untitled2The LiveBook GFX delivers a disruptive price for performance, shipping with professional quality broadcast features and their own Camino Template Editor – enabling full user customization at one low cost. High-end features found in the SportApps include scoreboard integration (for automatic score/clock/period feeds), StatCrew integration (for broadcasting live basketball statistics), Radar Gun integration (for baseball), DVE Clock, the newly released NDI integration (for broadcasting with a NewTek Tricaster), OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for clocks, and Player Info management – including headshots.

This system makes ESPN-quality broadcasts possible for production teams of all levels – from production companies to colleges. Be sure to stop by their booth in the South Lower Hall, SL14505, for a live demo of their latest SportApps and features.
