Here’s what people are saying about SVG’s NAB Booth Venue Tour:

Chris Brown, Director of Technical Operations, NBATV and NBA Digital, Turner Sports:

“I thought that the NAB Booth tours hosted by the SVG Venue Initiative group was a great way to do NAB.  The personal tours and sessions with each of the major vendors was great.  For someone that represents a smaller organization and potentially does not command the attention of larger vendors, this was an excellent way to get in front of each of them and not only see their current offerings, but also take an honest look at their long-term roadmaps.  The wireless audio solution proved useful as well given the environment and made it easy to locate the group if you were floating in and out of the different sessions.  Which brings me to the scheduling: I thought that the timing of the schedule, and the length of time spent at each vendor was just right, and also allowed for me to plan the rest of my show visit around these tours – and, in a couple of instances, allowed me to combine my visit with a vendor to coincide with the SVG visit.  You might think that the group setting would be a turn off, but the good part was that it was still a personalized group setting, so we got a really good look at what was new with each of the vendors that the committee slated for us.”

Don Piper, Associate Professor of Journalism, Director Of Production Technology, School of Communication & Media, Palm Beach Atlantic University:

“I like the personal attention you get with the SVG tours.  We are a small D2 school who would never be able to garnish the attention on our own that we get by participating in the tours.  I also appreciate the selection of vendors, which includes not only vendors for the big budget schools but also smaller budgets.  Thanks again for the great work on setting up the tours.”

The NAB Booth Venue Tour is made possible by the support of SVG’s Venue Initiative sponsors: Bexel, Cisco, Clear-Com, Crown Castle, EVS, Grass Valley, Panasonic, Sony, and Ross Video.
