Avid Connect 2017: SVG-Produced Panel to Address Cutting-Edge Sports Production Workflows

Panel on April 22 in Las Vegas part of the two-day event leading up to NAB Show

In an annual tradition, Avid customers will get an early jump on NAB Show activities at the Avid Customer Association “Avid Connect” meeting, which is set to be held on April 22-23 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

As a part of this year’s festivities, the Sports Video Group is pleased to host a session in the “Transforming the Media Enterprise: Innovation in Business & Technology” track entitled, The Future of Sport Production, that will take place at 11:55 a.m.

The panel will feature Darryl Jefferson, VP, Post Operations and Digital Workflows with NBC Sports and NBC Olympics, Andy Beale, Chief Engineer at BT Sport, Noah Gusdorff, CEO of Creative Mobile Solutions, and Ofir Benovici, Senior Director, Broadcast Products at Avid. The session with be moderated by Brandon Costa, Director of Digital at SVG.

The session will address the evolution of sports production workflows and the impact of network connectivity between venues and broadcast facilities that allow for long-distance content creation and file transfer, opening up new ways to staff, work, and create. The discussion will touch on how they are leveraging the latest tools and technologies to improve the quality of sports content.

With more than 1,200 attendees taking part in the event a year ago, Avid Connect is where media professionals come together and prepare for the year ahead and meet other media industry professionals to learn, share, network and collaborate. The event offers two full days of closed-door committee meetings, general sessions, breakout sessions, networking, technology demonstrations, and more.
