NAB Awards Roundup, Part 1: Grass Valley, Quantum, VITEC, TVU, & Telos Alliance Take Home Honors
The 2017 NAB Show is in the books and there is plenty of praise to go around. Here is a roundup of some the big award winners from the show, including Grass Valley, Quantum, VITEC, TVU, Telos Alliance Take Home Honors.
Grass Valley Wins Two Best of Show Awards
Grass Valley’s Densité UHD-3901-UC modular processing cards and the XCU Universe UXF camera base stations from Grass Valley (a Belden Brand) were among the NewBay Media Best of Show award winners this year.

Quantum’s StorNext 6 Wins Multiple Innovation Honors
Quantum’s StorNext 6, a major new release of the company’s StorNext platform, won a NewBay Media Best of Show Award at the 2017 NAB Show. The award recognizes technologies for innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. In addition, StorNext 6 earned a Post Pick Award from Post Magazine for being a standout new product notable for its innovation. Rounding out the honors as an IABM Game Changer Award finalist, Quantum’s workflow storage platform was acknowledged not only for innovation but also for delivering significant operational and business benefits.

VITEC Wins Best of Show Award
The MGW Ace Encoder and MGW Ace Decoder point-to-point HEVC streaming solution manufactured by VITEC is the recipient of NewBay’s Best of Show Award, presented at the 2017 NAB Show by Sound & Video Contractor.
“Each year, thousands of innovative, exciting products are introduced at NAB. TVU Networks Wins Two Best of Show Awards
TVU Networks is the recipient of two NewBay Media Best of Show Awards, presented last month at the 2017 NAB Show. TVU Network’s TVU One mobile transmitter solution with support for the H.265/HEVC video compression standard received NewBay’s Best of Show Award from TV Technology, while TVU Networks’ new solution for web-based live production, TVU Producer, won NewBay’s Best of Show Award from Video Edge.

Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group Wins Best of Show Award
NewBay Media’s TV Technology magazine honored the Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group (TVSG) with a Best of Show Award for its Linear Acoustic AMS at the 2017 NAB Show held this week in Las Vegas. Linear Acoustic AMS is a comprehensive solution for real-time authoring, rendering and monitoring of advanced audio programs for the ATSC 3.0 Digital Television System.
