Cable Companies Form Coalition to Battle TV Station Blackouts

PCmag.com reports that the issue of blackouts is making headlines again with a potential battle looming between Disney and Time Warner. This has prompted Time Warner and several of its cable competitors, as well as a handful of consumer groups, to form the American Television Alliance, a coalition intended push regulators to revamp the rules that let broadcasters pull certain channels from their lineups amidst disputes.
