One Whole Heck of a Lot of Pixels!
EETimes reports that Canon has developed an APS-H-sized (roughly 35-mm movie frame) image sensor with 120 million pixels. How many is that? Any one-sixtieth of the area of the sensor can provide full 1920×1080 HD resolution. http://www.eetimes.com/electronics-news/4206455/Canon-120-megapixel-CMOS-sensor
