2018 FIFA World Cup: NBCSN To Telecast First Match in Spanish

NBCSN will televise its first-ever FIFA World Cup match in Spanish this Sunday, June 17, live at 1:30 p.m. ET when Brazil face Switzerland at Rostov Arena in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. The match will be simulcast in Spanish from Telemundo Deportes, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The game will also be livestreamed in Spanish via the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo and NBC Sports apps.

Led by soccer superstars Neymar, Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus, Brazil face in their opening match a Switzerland squad featuring Valon Behrami, the first player to represent Switzerland at four World Cups. Brazil, a semifinalist at the 2014 World Cup, aims for its sixth World Cup title.

Sammy Sadovnik calls the match on Telemundo and NBCSN, joined by Eduardo Biscayart and Juan Pablo Sorin, a former member of the Argentina national team, where he played in two FIFA World Cups.

Telemundo Deportes is offering more than 1,500 hours of World Cup coverage from Russia across all platforms, including more than 500 hours on television and more than 1,000 hours across digital platforms, including the live streaming of all 64 World Cup Russia games. In addition, Telemundo Deportes will offer the latest news and clips of the most relevant moments as well as 2018 FIFA World Cup real-time results along with expert commentary from a renowned commentary team.
