ABonAir Addresses Wireless Needs for Crowded Sports Environments

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome ABonAir as a corporate sponsor Headquartered in Israel, ABonAir is a leading designer of robust wireless broadcast transmitters for professional camera and production teams worldwide. The company’s wireless systems transmit video content via microwave technology directly from cameras to control centers.

ABonAir’s products deliver reliable coverage in crowded sports events and stadiums, allowing unique-content broadcasting from practically anywhere around the venue.

Recent North American sports clients include the Detroit Pistons, Florida Panthers, the University of Nebraska, Virginia Tech, University of Kansas, and El Paso Baseball Stadium.

“We are excited to join the Sports Video Group and to take part in its valuable activities that drive the sport-production industry forward,” says ABonAir CEO Eran Igler. “We are proud to belong to the SVG growing community and look forward to strengthen the relations with our colleagues, partners, and customers in the industry.”

ABonAir’s bidirectional zero-error technology provides stable wireless video links. The system includes integrated intercom and CCU on the same wireless channel as the video content.

The systems’ MIMO radio architecture allows simultaneous transmission of two data streams via two radio transceivers. Combining signals into one in the receiver produces better coverage and link stability.

ABonAir’s Fiber Coverage Extender (FCE) allows antennas to be installed at the broadcast venue remotely from the receiver in the control room and to connect, for example, the OB truck at the parking lot to the antennas in the field or at the dressing rooms.

The company delivers systems for broadcast professionals throughout its network of channel partners, including Alpha Video, Diversified Systems, CTG, and Joseph Electronics.
