Microsoft Azure Cloud Integrates TAG Video Systems’ MCM-9000 Software Platform

TAG Video Systems’ MCM-9000 software platform can now run on the Microsoft Azure Cloud in addition to its existing support for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

“In order to reduce costs and provide flexible workflows the media industry is continuing its migration from on-premises legacy infrastructure to the cloud,” says Gal Waldman, chief product officer for TAG. “As a 100% IP-based platform, TAG has been deploying our solutions on Commercial off The Shelf (COTS) hardware for over 13 years which made it a lot easier for us to move to the cloud. We’re now pleased to expand our cloud deployments by supporting Microsoft Azure in addition to AWS. The support also underscores our Zer0 Friction business strategy by providing customers with operational agility to manage the software across applications and locations, and maximize asset utilization”

Deployment in the cloud provides TAG customers with countless benefits including high availability, redundancy, flexibility, world-wide access to stored content as well as fault tolerance, ease of set-up and operations, and OPEX compatibility. Operators can easily monitor live production, playout, and delivery of OTT content in the cloud via TAG’s MCM-9000 system. The scalable solution allows broadcasters to access any number of licenses needed for their designated channels and services on the cloud. The customer has full control of the instances, the configuration, applications, and licenses according to their specific dynamic requirements, for total flexibility and agility.

This sophisticated workflow lowers risk while accelerating deployment – which can be achieved with a few clicks, delivering a lightning speed, highly secure environment that provides media companies with an easy to access, collaborative eco-system.
