Ascent Media, a provider of services to the media and entertainment industry has completed agreements with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. that expand the existing relationship between the two companies.

Under the agreements, WWE is utilizing dedicated studio space at Ascent Media’s Harbor Plaza facility for the creation of wraparound elements that are included in WWE syndicated programming packages.  In addition, Ascent Media is providing new HD-capable fiber optic links between the new studio space and the existing WWE studio in Harbor Plaza, and to the WWE technical facility elsewhere in Stamford.

“WWE has deservedly earned a reputation as one of the most innovative and most imaginative forces in sports entertainment,” said Peter Brickman, Managing Director of Content Distribution for North America for Ascent Media.  “We’re pleased that they have once again placed their confidence in the ability of our personnel and resources to meet their new production needs.”

“Because of the varied nature of our programming, it’s important that we have access to the highest-quality, most reliable production environment,” said Steven Lazas, vice president of broadcast operations for WWE.  “Our relationship with Ascent Media has continued to expand because of their proven ability to deliver the technical skills and the breadth of resources we need to grow our business.”
