Panasonic will install a total of some 2,000 units of surveillance camera systems at various venues of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games which begin on August 8.

During the Beijing Olympic Games, Panasonic's security products such as Super Dynamic III (SDIII) color PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) cameras will help ensure security at the venues including the International Broadcasting Centre and Fencing Hall at the National Convention Center and Laoshan Velodrome in Beijing and Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium in Tianjin City. The SDIII series weather-proof outdoor and indoor cameras feature high sensitivity and high resolution with 128x dynamic range, enabling to provide high-quality, clear images.
