Edgar Shane has been promoted to JVC Professional general manager, Engineering. Prior to being named General Manager, Engineering, Shane was Senior Product Manager for JVC's Display Products division.  In this position, Shane worked closely with JVC factories on new product development, market positioning and competitive analysis. The company says he also played an important role in new product launch initiatives to coincide with marketing efforts and training and sales support.

"JVC is extremely fortunate to have Edgar's level of knowledge and talent in our marketing and product engineering department," said Lon Mass, Vice President, Marketing, JVC Professional Products Company. "I am confident that Edgar will provide strong leadership and direction as our new general manager of engineering."

Shane's extensive knowledge of software and applications has helped JVC leverage its involvement in the NLE systems arena. Throughout his career, Shane has successfully managed third-party vendor relationships and the outsourcing of custom JVC components to support JVC products.

After completing his MSEE in 1986, Shane worked as a design engineer specializing in digital video and computer interfaces. He joined JVC in 1997 as a Field Service Manager for JVC Service & Engineering Company of America (JSCA) and was quickly promoted to Engineering Instructor.  In 2001, Shane joined JVC Professional as Product Manager, Display Products.  Shortly after, he was appointed Senior Product Manager, Display Products / Workflow solutions.
