Sony Creative Software announced that Les Stroud, the host and creator of Discovery Channel's popular series Survivorman, will give the keynote presentation at its "Full HD - Over the Top" user group event to be held Monday, April 14 from 6:30 - 9:00 pm in room N250 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Hosted in partnership with VASST, and sponsored by AMD and Microsoft, Sony Creative Software will provide more information about its 64-bit Vegas Pro HD video, audio and DVD production software shipping later this year. The company will also share news about other technology developments to be revealed at the NAB 2008 show.

"For the past eight years, our NAB user group event consistently demonstrates just how large the Vegas Pro community is growing year over year," said Dave Chaimson, vice president of global marketing for Sony Creative Software. "NAB 2008 will continue that momentum as we're thrilled to add Les Stroud to the roster this year for our annual gathering. We're very eager to learn more about his valuable experiences in producing Survivorman and how he and his team approach their production challenges."

Additional confirmed speakers for the event include Hollywood producer, writer, director and actor Dean Devlin (Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, The Patriot); Norman Kent, one of the world's foremost aerial photographers; as well as VASST Managing Producer and Vegas Pro expert and evangelist Douglas Spotted Eagle. AMD's Charlie Boswell, Director of Digital Media and Entertainment, will also speak about his latest projects along with Sony Creative Software VP of Technology Dave Hill.
