LYNX Technik AG, provider of intelligent interface products for the broadcast and professional audio & video industry, is introducing a brand new full-featured multi-format test generator based on their portable test generator –  The Testor.  LYNX will be showcasing the new module at Booth # SU14609 at NAB 2008.

The new test generator (model: PTG 5610) fits neatly into LYNX Series 5000 racks and provides all the advanced features and functions of the portable hand held Testor, which was launched in 2005 with hundreds sold worldwide.

The PTG5610 multi-format module provides two simultaneous HD-SDI / SD-SDI test pattern outputs as well as 8 channel-AES audio test generator functionality with 4 external AES outputs.  It can also be used as a standalone multi-format analog video sync generator.  A comprehensive static and dynamic test pattern library is supplied for all formats and is supplemented by an integrated compact flash slot, allowing you to upload your own patterns using DPX files.  This key feature allows you to also use the new test generator as a compact still-store.

The modular architecture, flexible multi-format genlock capabilities, and fully adjustable timing make the new module ideal for signal path integrity testing.  The PTG5610 will meet future needs as well as today’s requirements.

The LYNX line of signal processing equipment is versatile and reliable, has been rigorously tested, and has been proven to work in the most demanding of multi-format environments.  Applications include; mobile vans (OB trucks), broadcast master control rooms, production studios, network operating centers, post production, video duplication facilities, and more.

In particular, LYNX Technik designed their full line of multi-format test generators to offer broadcast professional an affordable and compact solution for calibrating and testing video equipment.  They have been designed to satisfy all of today’s most demanding digital Broadcast testing requirements and have been configured to meet the needs of a variety of levels of technical sophistication.
