RF Central, a digital microwave technology provider, is unveiling its new and improved NLL-II 5.8 GHz portable digital microwave link at NAB 2008 (Booths C3007 and C6622). The updated NLL-II now offers both balanced microphone and line level inputs via switch selectable XLR connectors on both the transmitter and receiver. This makes the NLL-II ideal for use by roaming news and sports crews.  The redesigned NLL-II is now also equipped with phantom power for microphones.

“RF Central is always researching and introducing new products that streamline applications among broadcasters without infringing on the delivery of cutting-edge technology,” says RF Central CEO Jeff Winemiller. “Through our enhanced NLL-II 5.8 GHZ digital microwave link, we are able to take our signature product to the next level by offering the benefit of a plug and play approach that eliminates the need for an external audio mixer and preamp. By providing the means for microphones to be plugged directly into the link, mobile crews curtail costs by no longer needing to employ third-party products.  Additionally, through its user-friendly design, the NLL-II can actually save time in the field, resulting in lower overall operating costs.

While the new NLL-II is equipped with new features, its complete transmit and receive system continues to distribute high quality wireless digital video and audio at an outstanding 1,500 foot range; all in an ultra-compact form factor.
