RRsat Global Communications Network Ltd. ("RRsat") has installed ten Chyron Channel Box HD/SD-switchable channel branding and automated promo systems. RRsat is a provider of end-to-end transmission via satellites and production services to the global broadcasting industry. The installation was carried out by Chyron's Israeli partner, ARAN Electronics.

The systems, installed in December 2007, provide intelligent graphics for RRsat's playout customers, enabling them to broadcast in both SD and HD formats. Graphics produced by the Channel Boxes' include upcoming shows with 3D DVE effects and lower third banners. Channel Box's sophisticated toolset allows RRsat operators to build graphics once and play them out live using built-in trigger points for time accuracy.

Moshe Perez, Technical Director, Playout Services at RRsat commented, "Chyron's Channel Boxes are among the most advanced in the broadcasting industry. RRsat, through this acquisition, sought to continue to offer premier SD and HD broadcasting capabilities, further expanding its global offering to its ever growing customer base of over 400 channels, currently broadcast over the global network. Chyron, with its advanced product, met this important and specific need."

"We are delighted to announce this major installation to RRsat. Channel Box has two configurations to fit the needs of any facility, providing a rich feature set for channel branding and automated promos," added David Ward, Chyron's VP and General Manager, EAME.
