Fletcher Chicago has sold its sales division to Abel Cine Tech, a move that allows Fletcher Chicago to focus on digital camera and film rental services. It also solidifies Abel Cine Tech’s mission to offer unparalleled sales and technical support to their nationally based broadcast and production clientele.

Fletcher announced that they will support this new direction with an additional $1½ million investment in equipment, as well as renovated and expanded production office space.

“Abel and Fletcher have always had a mutual respect for the way both our companies do business and treat our customers,” stated Pete Abel, President of Abel Cine Tech. “We’re excited about this new opportunity and committed to providing the highest level of personalized service to Fletcher’s sales clients.”

Abel announced that Fletcher’s Sales Manager, Kari Hess will head up sales efforts in the Midwestern region. Ms. Hess brings over 17 years of professional experience in the television production industry. Hess’ personalized sales approach, strong technical grounding and field experience as a news videographer give her a unique blend of talents specific to Abel’s core philosophy. “My client’s needs have always been my highest priority,” commented Hess. “I am happy to work with Abel Cine Tech, with their reputation for outstanding customer service.”

“Throughout this transition, we want to make sure that we take good care of our loyal client base,” stated Tom Fletcher, VP/Owner of Fletcher Chicago. “We firmly believe that with Abel’s reputation for strong customer support, and Kari Hess leading the transition, our sales clients will be in capable hands and will enjoy all the benefits of this new enterprise.”
