RF Central, a digital microwave technology provider, is unveiling its new RMR-X6-II six-way COFDM diversity receiver at NAB 2008 (Booths C3007 and C6622). Building on the success of its original RFX-RMR-X6, the RMR-X6-II delivers new advancements and capabilities.

Representing the latest in maximum ratio combining technology, the RMR-X6-II offers superior diversity reception with new cutting-edge features including On Screen Display of stream data, Ethernet monitoring for remote control access and IP encapsulation for Internet broadcast.  Among its other attributes is the ability to deliver both SD and HD (SDI) video when paired with a standard or high definition external ASI decoder.  Delivering a broadcast-rugged package that captures the essence of flexibility and forward thinking design, the RMR-X6-II is outfitted with a straightforward front panel design, compact chassis and OLED graphic display.

“Through the development of the new RMR-X6-II, RF Central has expanded diversity receiver options for today’s broadcasters,” says RF Central CEO Jeff Winemiller. “While customers can continue to take full advantage of diversity reception with all of the benefits of maximum ratio combining established by our original RFX-RMR-X6, they now have the equipment necessary for doing this as they transition into full HD with multiple broadcast delivery platforms.”
