The Ultimate Fighting Championships WEC Mixed Martial Arts fight league entertained a sellout crowd at The Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Las Vegas last week, broadcast live on Versus. The event also marked an important milestone for non-linear post-production gear rental company Alliance Digital. This was the 35th live broadcast event in the relationship between Alliance Digital and The UFC.

“In October 2006 – on short notice – UFC needed an equipment rental company in Florida that could provide five Avid Adrenalines and a Unity Storage Area Network," says Curtis Edge, the director of post production for the UFC. “We called Alliance Digital, and not only did they deliver the Avids to the required specs, their rates and customer support were next to none. Since then, UFC has used Alliance Digital exclusively for its Edit equipment rental needs - we believe they are the best in the business."

When asked about the secret to their success, Alliance’s General Manager, Tim Okon is quick to point out the “people” factor. “ We are really fortunate to have some of the best people in the business carrying the Alliance flag," he explains. "Our team is out there every day armed with a massive dose of pride in the organization. When they’re on site designing and building these 'turn-and-burn' post production environments, they do it as if it was their own names on the equipment."

Okon also doesn’t hesitate to add high praise for the Team at UFC. “These folks are a pleasure to work with…they are pros, plain and simple.  When you step into their production environment, you know you are traveling first class. No cutting corners, no short cuts. The team at UFC puts on a top quality production because they are willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. We are very proud to be a part of supporting those efforts.”

Alliance Digital is a Virtual Media Communications Company, one of the largest Avid Technology integrators in North America, with offices in New York, Orlando, Miami, and strategic depot locations Worldwide.
