SPORTS VIDEO GROUP ANNOUNCES ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS
Board Comprised of Leaders from Sports TV, Broadband and Mobile
NEW YORK (Feb. 21, 2006)--The Sports Video Group (SVG) announced today the members of its Advisory Board, which is comprised of technology leaders in sports production for television, broadband and mobile devices. The Sports Video Group was formed in 2005 to support the professional community that relies on video, audio, and broadband technologies to produce and distribute sports content. Leagues, owners, teams, players, broadcasters, web casters, and consumer technology providers have joined the SVG to learn from each other, turn vision into reality and implement new innovations, while sharing experiences that will lead to advancements in the sports production/distribution process and the overall consumer sports experience. "SVG has aggregated an inspired group of sports media executives and created a forum for open discussion that will help promote and circulate the innovations that will shape sports media in the years ahead,” said Adam Shaw, senior vice president, distribution sales and marketing, NFL Network. "The Sports Video Group serves a valuable purpose by providing the sports industry with a central organization to discuss new technologies,” said Chuck Pagno, chief technology officer of ESPN. “By working together the members of the advisory board will be able to more easily ensure that fans have a great experience: whether at home, on the road, or in the stands."
