Job duties include:
Description: Job Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day engineering functions and staff
• Lead and oversee capital projects including studio and remote technical infrastructure.
• Oversee smooth transition of Mets Game broadcasts from Shea Stadium to new facility beginning in 2009
• Facilitate repairs and on-going preventive maintenance
• Support ENG, Studio and Remote production staffs
• Support Affiliate Relations Dept. w/ new launches and transmission issues
• Perform system testing and quality assurance of on-air signal
• Research and evaluate new industry products and technologies
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Ten years broadcast/cable facility engineering experience
• Complete knowledge of digital/HD TV studio production systems
• Thorough understanding of Production and Master Control switching systems, cameras and digital audio
• Extensive knowledge of digital video routers, servers and networking
• Experienced in satellite and fiber transmission and receiving systems
• Familiarity with master control station automation systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and system design and integration issues and procedures
• Ability to clearly communicate project needs, budget and status to senior management
• Highly-motivated self starter
• Strong team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work non-traditional work hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Affective writing and verbal communication skills
• Prior managerial experience is required
• Occasional travel may be required
