Chyron to launch online division

Chyron will mark its entry into web-based graphics production at NAB 2008. Following its acquisition of Axis Graphics earlier this year, Chyron is launching an online division called Chyron Online. Chyron Online will feature an array of web-based services including maps, real time weather displays, 3D Charts, graphs, financial quotes and a vast toolset for news graphics. Chyron will be in booth SL3713 at NAB and will feature a full graphics workflow demonstration.

Chyron Online will be a one-stop seamless platform to create, composite and distribute graphic content over the Internet for traditional and new media markets. Chyron Online enables the production and management of high-quality graphics integrated with content simply through the use of an internet connection and a web browser.

Chyron Online will feature a vast set of features including FastMaps the first online mapping system created specifically for television news producers. From street-level maps to international maps now anyone in a newsroom can get a map on the air quickly and easily.

FastQuotes is another asset of the new Chyron Online. FastQuotes gives broadcasters, and webcasters the ability to build stunning stock market charts from HD to Web insert instantly. A simple setup and local, national and international business news segments can incorporate existing graphics packages and looks or design from scratch.

FastCharts allows reporters, producers and directors the ability to create stunning HD quality Bar graphics and Pie Charts quickly using data from almost anywhere with a Web browser.

FastWX completes the line of Chyron Online integrated graphics tools. Using real time weather information from around the globe FastWX allows producers to build the highest quality weather maps complete with Doppler Radar (where available) using an internet connection. FastWX using the same graphics packages of all Chyron Online products producers can build regional weather maps five-day forecasts and much more. FastWX is for breaking news and weather and is applicable for broadcast, radio or webcasts.
