given a behind-the-scenes tour by
Bexel Broadcast Services, Fox Sports, Game
Creek, and the Sports Video Group of a top-level TV sports production on the
Saturday prior to the 2008 BCS National Championship game between LSU and
Ohio
State.
“The BCS tour was our latest collaborative effort to find the next-generation
of engineering talent for both the future of our industry - SVG member
companies and sponsors will benefit greatly from this talent, someday,” says

established the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame today, the first of its kind
to honor executives from the worlds of sports, technology and
broadcasting. Additionally, the first class of inductees were announced
and will be presented with the coveted lifetime achievement honor at the SVG
Annual League Technology Summit held at the New York Hilton Hotel on Dec. 11,
2007.

section article on E-Commerce and SVG and its members were featured. Reporter
Bob Tedeschi rolls through some of the efforts being undertaken by the NBA,
NHL, NFL, MLB.com and NASCAR to digitize archives and, potentially, drive
revenues. "We view this as a mission we have to execute for the
fans," says Steve Hellmuth, NBA Entertainment SVP. "The revenue side
of it comes second." And as the cost of technology continues to fall those
revenues become closer to becoming a reality. |
