With sports-network and venue fiber needs constantly expanding,
Telecast Fiber is looking to keep up with the new demands. Leading the way is
SuperBooth, a suite of products packaged specifically for golf events and other
demanding sports broadcasts.
The SuperBooth includes the Telecast Adder II audio, intercom, and
data multiplexer; the DiamondBack 4x4 audio and video multiplexer; the Telethon
HD/SDI CWDM Mux, and a new dual-redundant AC/DC RackBack power system.
Also new is the CopperHead DLV3X1 camera-mounted dual-link fiber-optic
transceiver, which converts electrical signals to fiber to move uncompressed
4:4:4 and 4:2:2 signals between the camera head and a recording device over one
fiber-optic cable. Replacing three or four coax cables with the DLV3X1 reduces
the bulk and weight of camera cabling and increases transmission distances to
as far as 9 miles.
Lastly, the DiamondBack 4x4 NTSC/PAL video multiplexer with
Ethernet can transmit four broadcast-quality analog video signals in each
direction and can accommodate audio, intercom, and data signals from the
company’s Adder II audio multiplexer line.
