At the NAB show, Sennheiser will showcase the MKE 400 mini-shotgun condenser microphone for use with digital camcorders and the MKH 8000 series of microphones with RF-condenser technology.

The MKE 400 is plug-and-play: All that is required to begin recording is a camcorder shoe mount and a 3.5-mm microphone input. The MKE 400 delivers more than 300 hours of professional-quality sound on a single AAA battery. A warning LED indicates low battery voltage. As standard, the MKE 400 is supplied with a foam windshield, battery, and microphone shock mount in a robust metal case.

The MKH 8000 series is available in three models offering, respectively, omnidirectional, cardioid, or super-cardioid pick-up patterns that set new standards for top-quality speech, vocal, and instrumental reproduction with an extremely wide frequency response. The omnidirectional MKH 8020, cardioid MKH 8040, and super-cardioid MKH 8050 each have two modules, the microphone head and a separate XLR module.
