Pixel Power Clarity adds 3D functionality

Pixel Power will introduce advanced real-time 3D graphics for its Clarity family of products that will be usable by all character-generator operators. The Clarity product line is Pixel Power’s array of single or dual graphics systems designed with simplified hardware.

“The notion of 3D conjures up inflated budgets, endless support calls, lengthy renders, and reliance on specially trained experts,” says CEO Pete Challinger. “Our approach to 3D is less complex in terms of hardware, so deploying it in a truck is practical.”

Challinger says Clarity’s flexibility and ease make the line appealing to sports broadcasters. Pixel Power 3D graphics transform automatically, based on real-time data sources. The reduced complexity means changes can be made on the fly.

“Good design coupled with polished automated graphics systems is making the task of delivering graphics for mobile video far less complex than the transition to HD,” he says.

At NAB, Pixel Power will also demonstrate additional capabilities for its master-control systems and unveil updates to its Control Toolbox.
