Technicolor hits the NAB show floor nearing its 100th
anniversary, proving that longevity doesn’t necessarily translate to being
stuck in the past. Since the early part of the millennia Technicolor has
invested heavily in digital technologies as it looks to the future and serving
the future needs of a
Hollywood
and TV community that increasingly looks to digital media in all its forms.
“Today the transformation is complete with digital service
offerings from the on-location acquisition of content, through production and
visual effects, to managing that content for its owners to delivery to the
consumer, whether that is 'packaged' or electronic distribution,” says Kathy
Standage, Technicolor Content Services VP, sales, cable and sports markets. “We
are a global company with more than 30 facilities all over the world.”
Standage says the global presence makes Technicolor a
partner that can deliver from the creation of content through to the consumer
distribution of the contents' final form, a creation-to-consumer capability she
says is unmatched in the market today. “We can handle any content in any format
imaginable today or into the future and deliver it to any location,” she adds.
