Chyron is demonstrating its new
Online portfolio of graphics at NAB 2008, on Booth SL3713. Following
the acquisition of AXIS Graphics in January 2008, Chyron has fully
integrated Online’s vast feature set, which includes AXISNews,
FastMaps, FastQuotes, FastCharts and FastWX, with its sophisticated
graphics portfolio.
AXIS is the world's first online content creation system for
broadcasters and new media providers. Combining existing on-air and
online graphics packages with up-to-the-minute and relevant content,
AXIS enables anyone with an Internet connection the ability to build
broadcast quality news graphics, charts, quotes, maps and weather
instantly.
AXIS is a SaaS (Software as a Service) software package operating over
the Internet providing high-quality graphics for broadcast and
web-based video outlets. Requiring no hardware or software, AXIS is
designed for operational and technical simplicity and low operational
cost. The individual products provide solutions for MAP, Weather, News,
Charts and Quotes with complementary resources, for ease of use and
immediacy of operation
The AXIS model is absolutely unique in that it give users what they
need; ease-of-use with relevant, current content, immediately. Map data
is constantly updated via the web: Journalists and producers have
access to the latest breaking news images immediately via direct
interface with news services. AXIS requires no updates or costly
administration, just connect online and use it!
AXIS provides the same level of sophisticated solutions for all visual
media such as newspapers, radio websites and highly targeted local news
outlets.
Chyron Online comprises a vast feature set including:
AXISNews: Allows directors and producers the ability to create graphics
within seconds, directly for air. Full screen and OTS high quality HD
graphics are easily produced and yet fully customized to the stations
look and feel. AXISNews is the secret weapon of newspapers, radio
stations and web publications needing quick, accurate graphics for
News, Corporate and Government applications.
FastMaps is the most powerful broadcast mapping resource available today.
Easily set up to use a station’s existing on-air graphics package and
look, FastMaps is the first online mapping system created specifically
for television news producers. No longer do producers need to wait
hours for maps. From street-level to international maps, anyone in a
newsroom can create a map for air quickly and easily without
compromising a station’s look and feel, generated by the art department.
FastQuotes gives broadcasters, webcasters and anyone needing near
real-time quotes the ability to build stunning high-quality stock
market charts from HD to Web insert, instantly. FastQuotes takes local,
national and international business news to an entirely new level.
Connected directly to real-time market data, news producers can create
high quality local, national and international business segments with
ease; immediately.
FastCharts allows reporters, producers and directors the ability to
quickly create stunning HD quality bar graphs and pie charts, using
their own data with a web browser. Regardless of requirements,
spectacular stills and animations are literally a mouse click away.
FastWX completes the line of powerful Chyron Online integrated graphics
tools. Using real-time weather information from around the globe,
FastWX allows producers to build the highest quality weather maps
complete with Doppler Radar (where available) anywhere there is an
Internet connection. Using the same graphics packages as all the Chyron
Online products, FastWX allows producers to build regional weather
maps, five-day forecasts and much more. As its name implies, FastWX is
simply the fastest and simplest way to create high-quality weather
inserts.
“This announcement further highlights Chyron’s consistent growth. NAB
sees the company deliver even more sophisticated and diverse products
to the market, providing broadcasters with a wider toolset to create
the best graphics for their programs, for any platform,” commented
Michael Wellesley-Wesley, Chyron CEO.
