Screen Subtitling Systems and SysMedia form 'Screen and Media' to tap into U.S. market

Screen Subtitling Systems Ltd, a world-leader in closed captioning technology, is heading to the U.S. with SysMedia Ltd has the company’s have formed a partnership to jointly market interoperable products for closed captioning and cross-platform publishing in the United States as “Screen and Media.”

“Through this strategic partnership, Screen and Media will offer the latest technologies and premium solutions for captioning, cross-platform publishing and improved workflows,” says Jerry Webb, Director of North American Development. “Complimenting our newest products will be our combined track record of superior technical support that will bring an unparalleled service to the United States video production industry.”

The partnership reflects a strategic vision to combine products and expertise in order to deliver a one-stop source of excellence for broadcasters, caption agencies, subtitle translators and post-production houses. The agreement launches new products and techniques for caption preparation and file-based workflow that will be introduced at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Screen and Media will introduce MediaMate, MediaTrans, and MediaTrack at the NAB Show. The new products create a cost-effective solution by simplifying caption transmission, editing, monitoring, and archive management for standard-definition or high-definition media files, including VOD, IPTV and web.

Additionally, Screen and Media will begin marketing the newest version of WinCAPS, which features extra productivity and export capability. WinCAPS integrates speech recognition tools for both real-time captioning and to increase the speed of offline captioning. Complimenting WinCAPS and the MediaMate family will be the latest Gold product, which enables platform-neutral production and management of content to accompany, enhance and supplement broadcast channels.
