“With the ConvertaCon, all they have to do is wire it one time,” explains Fred Besnoff, product applications manager for Neutrik USA. “Now when you’re out in the field you really only need one cable. Instead of having a male and a female in the box, you can use this for both, since both connectors are in the same wire.”

The 32-Amp PowerCon connector is also new for NAB. Designed to handle the power transfer required for high-power broadcast distribution systems, the locking three-conductor AC connector system is ideal for use in both fixed and mobile productions.

“It’s a lockable connector that’s very inexpensive compared to what’s available out there now,” Besnoff says.
