Echolab taps replay system

Echolab introduced four new switchers and their NAB booth as well as a new replay system. The MultiPlayMD is a multi-channel instant replay system that offers 32 channels of HD or SD content.

In MultiPlayMD, operators can switch instantly between live, play, and record functions, with instant synchronous playback available on all channels. The system is fully integrated with Echolab's Overture1 and Overture2 production switchers and can be operated directly from the switcher control panel or from Echolab's Conductor control integration system.

Nigel Spratling, president of Echolab stated that SD is not in demand but cost effective HD gear is. MultiPlayMD integrates with Echolab Overture switcher as well as instantly switches between live, play and record.  “Our system can switch to live without interruption,” says Spratling. 

One of the switchers Echolab unveiled was the MegaKeyMD, a powerful clip player, mixer, and keyer that can serve as a networked storage device for animated graphics and video clips. The MegaKeyMD adds greater flexibility to live productions at an affordable price point.
