Qustream announced earlier at NAB that their Cheetah 864XR series will by NBC for the network's coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games. Qustream also unveiled many more routers on the show floor.

“Qustream’s Integrity 600 accommodates up to 20 inputs,” says Karlton Burn, vice president of Qustream.   The Integrity 600 includes redundant power supply and optional redundant control plus reference board for two power busses, two Ethernet busses and two reference signals to every card in the system. “It has a very high density,” adds Burn.

Qustream’s 512 Cheetah audio routers are also being implemented into sports production. In fact, Game Creek video has installed them in their newest truck, Liberty, debuting later this year. DRS (audio Distributed Routing System) is innovative for it eliminates large numbers of audio mults and greatly reduces the complexity of audio set-up.

In fact, the DRS router enables capability of additional Input and Output Frames. Systems with a single data exchange can expand all the way up to a 512X512 single level audio router in only 9 rack units. Many sports venues including the American Airlines Center in Dallas and Oriole Park in Baltimore are interested in upgrading their routing systems to QuStream Cheetahs.
