DNF Controls, a leading provider of hardware- and software-based control solutions for television equipment, is showing its full line of DMAT (Don’t Miss A Thing) sports controllers at NAB. All of DNF’s controllers provide easy-to-operate, reliable solutions for a variety of markets, making highlight lists and slow motion instant replay available to operators at all levels.

The DMAT-EZ emphasizes simplicity, allowing operators to simplify the transition to sports control with intuitive instant replay and highlight list features.

“The DMAT-EZ is BTR operator-friendly,” explains Robert Goldsobel, manager of inside sales for DNF Controls. “You’re using timecode ins and outs for everything so it’s simple to operate.”

The DMAT-O is a higher-end, Elvis-type controller that supports different playback speeds for different elements. Both controllers allow users to access clips that are already stored on the server, such as a sponsored replay.

The ST304-DSR1K-T, a model particularly popular with university clients, works with Sony’s DSR DL 1000.

“We support the simultaneous record and playback with the Sony DSR,” Goldsobel says. “With Sony we’ve created a highlight list option, so we can take those time code cue points where you mark an in and out, put them in a list and play them back one after the other, so each DSR can have its own highlight list.”

DNF is currently working on a low-cost, HD slo-mo server designed specifically for the college market, but the project is still in its beginning phases.
