Gordon Blau named head of Chyron’s Creative Services Group

Gordon Blau is heading up Chyron’s Creative Services Group. Part of Chyron's new Online division, the Creative Services Group is being set up to support the newly acquired AXIS line of products for both client graphics support operations and to provide original graphic design functions, as well as assisting other departments.

Blau, whose previous experience includes, running the graphics department of a large national broadcaster, will be looking to staff this new group with up and coming artists. Blau will be looking for creative talent wanting to break into the broadcast and communications market guided by seasoned broadcast and web content designers. 

Blau’s responsibilities will include building, running and managing a large virtual team of artists working around the world on the web, providing timely services to the broadcast, newspaper and new media markets. Blau, who will report to Kevin Prince, Chyron’s COO, has full responsibility for the Creative Services Group. His previous experience includes managing remote groups using WAN tools to provide timely breaking news graphics in high pressure, fast paced environments.

“Gordon's knowledge of broadcast workflow and the graphics design process makes him ideally suited to heading up this new department for Chyron,” commented Michael Wellesley-Wesley, Chyron CEO.
