Ensequence Appoints Industry Veteran Rick Howe as VP, Business Development

Former Showtime executive to lead Ensequence operator relationships and work closely with programmers and advertisers on the deployment of interactive TV projects
PORTLAND, Ore. — June 4, 2007 — Ensequence®, the interactive video company, today announced the appointment of Rick Howe to VP, business development. Howe will represent Ensequence with cable, satellite and IPTV operators. In his role, Howe will work closely with operators on the deployment of interactive TV advertising and programming initiatives.

Howe has an extensive background in cable spanning more than 20 years with expertise in developing and launching new cable TV products. He was most recently executive vice president of sales and marketing for Zodiac Interactive. Throughout his career, Howe has worked closely with DISH Network, Time Warner Cable, Comcast Cable, Cox Communications, Advance/Newhouse, Verizon and DirecTV.
Howe's previous roles in the industry have included senior vice president of affiliate marketing at Showtime and vice president strategic and consumer marketing at MoreCome Technology, which was acquired by Liberate. In addition, he has consulted for DivX Networks, iSurfTV, BBC America, TV Guide and the Game Show Network.
The co-author of a patent for the use of mosaics in interactive program guides, Howe's work has received wide industry recognition. He received the CTAM “Tami” award for retention marketing and was nominated to Cable Pioneers in 2003. His volunteer work has included serving as vice president of marketing for the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
Alliance, where he received the lifetime achievement award.
