Memorial Fund established for Ron Scalise children college education

Kurt Heitmann and the good people at CP Communications have established a memorial trust fund in honor of ESPN and sports industry audio legend Ron Scalise that will be used for the college education of his three children: Rosario, 16, RJ, 11, and his daughter Brenna, 10. At the request of the family this will be the only fund established to limit confusion. For more information on donating to the fund please click on this story.

Fujinon HD lenses captured a recent concert by pop star Gwen Stefani in Stockton, California for a DVD release of the artist’s live performances during her “Sweet Escape Tour.” Los Angeles-based Oil Factory, Inc. produced the show and hired Burbank, California-based Big Vision Studios to supply the equipment used to shoot concert footage from the Stockton Arena. A single-mode fiber network powered by solutions from Telecast Fiber Systems provided a highly reliable and greatly simplified cabling infrastructure for the recent global broadcast of a major awards program honoring everyday heroes. The program aired live and in high definition on Dec. 6, 2007 from the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. OB 14 is the fleet's largest addition to date, a 2.5 m wide articulated trailer expanding to 4 m along almost 13 m of its 14 m length. A member of the Image Media Group, Outside Broadcast NV operates a fleet of 10 vehicles from its headquarters near Brussels. The instruments were purchased via Diginet, Belgian partner of elQuip BV, Broadcast Master Distributor for Leader Electronics Corporation in Europe.

Cinematographer/producer, veteran diver, and founder of Liquid Pictures, D.J. Roller, recently wrapped principal photography on a new IMAX 3-D film entitled “ Wild Ocean.” All underwater sequences were shot with two Fujinon HA10X5B-W50 HD Cine Style zoom lenses mounted on a Cameron/Pace Fusion Underwater HDTV 3D camera system. The lenses are encased in specially made lens barrels for the rig and affixed to custom-designed Sony HD-950 cameras. Roller used that system with two of the Fujinon lenses and one back-up. | Full Story
