Take that Mary and Bob!

It's 1 a.m. in Beijing, closing time as I like to say...but before I rest up and hit the IBC tomorrow morning with blog guns blazing I just wanted to post a picture of me chowing down a scorpion. I have to admit Mary Carillo and Bob Costas threw down the gauntlet the other night when Mary went out to sample some of Beijing's exotic delicacies (we drew the line at Seahorses and starfish) but didn't really seem to eat ANYTHING.
Anyway, here's a picture of my report.

The scoop on scorpions? If you can try them go for it cause they're damn tasty. First, the sesame oil and the fact that they are fried go a long way towards making them delicious. But they're texture is reminiscent of the large claw of a softshell crab with a slightly earthier taste. There ya have it...scoprions are officially the landlubbers version of softshell crabs.
