Chyron has a new addition to
the CAMIO line of news graphics management solutions. CAMIO Cluster is a fully
redundant, clustered server system. CAMIO Cluster seeks to remove all singe
points of failure from broadcasters’ mission-critical news graphics operations.
CAMIO provides journalists with an easy–to-use interface from with popular
newsroom computer systems, such as ENPS, to select, populate and preview
graphics templates and to publish them to a graphics device for playback
according to the running order of the show.
CAMIO Cluster provides two CAMIO servers that each feature a mirrored system
drives, redundant power supplies, networking ports and dual Fibre Channel
ports. The shared RAID6 asset storage array is also equipped with redundant
power supplies and Fibre Channel controller boards. Cluster management software
monitors status of the system and in the event of a failure, automatically
fails over to the back up system to quickly put CAMIO back on line.
“CAMIO Cluster gives broadcasters full confidence that their assets and
workflow are secure,” commented David Ward, VP and general manager, Chyron
EAME.
