Orange , a mobile operator in France has implemented Dalet Enterprise Edition to produce the highlights of the French Football matches via their mobile and VOD channels. Orange acquired the rights from the French "Ligue 1" organization to broadcast certain live football matches, as well as the rights for Mobile TV and on demand magazines. Orange selected Dalet Enterprise Edition to facilitate the entire production of the football game highlights offered to viewers via the highly popular Orangefoot program. Orange went on air with Dalet Enterprise Edition on August 9, 2008.

"Dalet enterprise asset management is the technology enabler for converged environments. Broadcasters can deliver content for Mobile TV, VOD alongside and with the same ease as standard channels using a single unified system thanks to the DaletPlus asset management platform," comments Stephane Schlayen, Chief Operating Officer, Dalet SA. "The Dalet lossless metadata schema and automated processes ensure
media and ultimately packages travel to the right distribution channels regardless of delivery platform."

"The capability of Dalet to integrate both News and Media Asset Management processes was instrumental in the selection of the Dalet solution," said Alain Lorentz, Technical Director, Cognacq Jay Image. "The tight and smooth integration between the Dalet MAM and the post production solution from Apple is an essential feature; optimizing both the production processes and the 'time to air'."

Dalet Professional Services worked closely with system integrator Cognacq-Jay Image to design and implement the digital workflow that facilitates convergence for the modern multi-channel distribution.

The Dalet-driven production workflow at Orange includes production management capabilities; ingest logging, quality control, planning, desktop production, and media asset management. Production storage from Exanet and server playout from Omneon is seamlessly integrated into the Dalet-driven workflow. Apple's editing is brought directly into the production chain via Dalet Xtend. Dalet Enterprise Edition facilitates xml integration with Mediagenix for programmation and with the Harris automation system to complete the workflow. Visitors to IBC 2008 can see Dalet solutions on stand 9.D28.
