Telemetrics is demonstrating
the latest releases of the company’s highly renowned CPS-ST-S Studio Control
System and CPS-LGS-S Camera Legislative Control System here at IBC2008. The
systems have been specifically tailored to provide comprehensive control and
functionality for broadcast studio and legislative chamber applications by a
single operator.
“Telemetrics offers a
selection of powerful software solutions designed to give broadcasters and
production professionals a more efficient of controlling multiple cameras for a
diverse range of applications,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General
Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.
“Our software
solutions are designed to complement our camera robotics devices enabling
Telemetrics to deliver customized turn-key solutions that meet very specific
user requirements.”
Telemetrics’ CPS-ST-S Studio
Control System provides flexible architecture for single-operator control of up
to 50 cameras or devices from the broadcast industry’s leading manufacturers.
The studio automation control system employs a GUI for
ROP
controls and hardware interface, and features joystick trim control of pan,
tilt, zoom, focus, iris and master pedestal to emulate manufacturers’ remote
operating panels. Up to 160 presets are available in storyboard mode and up to
8000 presets when organized by camera. Multiple screen layouts facilitate ease of
operation and a preset video switcher is available for still image capture and
preview functions.
To
automate legislative studio video coverage, Telemetrics’
CPS-LGS-S Camera Legislative Control System
provides camera
control, CCU control, video switching, video switcher program/preview busses,
and character generator graphics in an integrated solution for a single
operator. Utilizing robotic cameras, the logistics of locating a legislative
member has been simplified by using a GUI (Graphical User Interface). The
system’s GUI integrates a seating chart, list of names, robotic camera presets,
graphic pages, microphone tally and a video switcher to quickly locate a
member, display the appropriate graphic and video. Up to 500 seats can be
defined by member name or initials, microphone and a character generator preset.
Standing and sitting modes are available for
three cameras to assure proper framing. Up to 8 cameras can be integrated with
over 3000 presets. A joystick control panel provides trim controls for pan,
tilt, zoom and focus, to adjust the camera's position if the user moves.
