Telemetrics Inc. is
demonstrating its RCP Series of Remote Control Panels designed network-based camera
control here at IBC2008.
Using a
standard network platform, Telemetrics RCP Series Remote Control Panels provide
control of camera operations by a single operator.
“Our line of Remote Control
Panels integrates functions in an intuitive manner for easy remote control of multiple
cameras, CCUs and peripheral devices,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and
General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.
“The
RCP Series innovative functionality is complemented by network-based
architecture that works with off-the-shelf network infrastructure and cameras
from for the industry’s leading manufacturers.”
The RCP Remote Control Panel
features Microsoft Windows XP Embedded operating system with an intuitive 8”
LCD touch-screen Graphical User Interface (GUI) to control pan, tilt, zoom and
focus with an integral joystick for trim control of pan, tilt, zoom, focus,
iris, master pedestal and an assignable CCU function. The unit accommodates up
to 50 cameras with up to 225 memory position presets via flexible transmission
devices. Telemetrics’ RCP also features a preset video switcher to provide
previews, upgradeable firmware, and control of weather-proof camera functions
including wiper, washer, extender and camera power.
The RCP Remote Control Panel
is compatible with Hitachi Z series cameras, Panasonic AWE Series, AK-HC1500
cameras and Sony HDC-X300/310, DXC-990, Ikegami
HDL-40 (U4 Protocol) cameras and
JVC
KY
series cameras. The RCP also supports Dataprobe’s IP420 and BlackBox’s SW1081A remote
power outlets, and Symetrix’s 460 remote audio device.
Telemetrics’ RCP Series also
includes the RCP-TS Camera Control Panel
(BU-45H/NU-701) which is designed specifically
for use with Canon’s BU-45H HD remote-control pan-tilt camera and the
standard-definition NU-701 remote-control pan-tilt cameras. It
controls
up to 16
cameras
with up to 16 presets,
as well as camera paint functions from a single location with the
ability to easily add custom control functions.
Using standard off-the-shelf network infrastructure, Telemetrics’ RCP-TS
controls the Canon BU-45H camera via an Ethernet 10/100/1G connection.
The unit’s presets
can be increased up to 134 presets per camera with a keypad option.
