As vice president of ESPN’s remote operations department, Abbott is in charge of operations and technical management of more than 1,400 live and taped events airing over the ESPN family of networks. Abbott also negotiated the multi-million dollar Monday Night Football deal for state-of-the-art HD mobile units, as well as new HD NASCAR deals providing behind-the-scenes operational and technical support for the NASCAR franchise.

Abbott has also served as VP of programming and operations for the New England Sports Network. He is a three-time National Emmy Award winner.
