Bill is a graduate of the
United States
Naval
Academy (1975) and served
on active duty as a Naval Aviator for 12 years prior to joining the Naval
Reserves. He has over 4000 hours flying the P-3 Orion and has made
multiple deployments all over the world. His last active duty station was
the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY where he served as the Communications Officer. As
a Naval Reservist he continued to fly P-3’s, but he eventually became actively
involved in the recruiting of interested and qualified students for the
Naval
Academy.
Bill recently retired from the Naval Reserves as a Commander after 28 years of
service. He continues in his role of finding future leaders who will
receive a commission from the
United
States
Naval
Academy as officers in the United States
Navy or United States Marine Corps.
Upon leaving active duty Bill began a career in sports
facilities management. He has held top level positions with the following
facilities:
Yankee Stadium
Giants Stadium (two tours)
Cleveland Browns Stadium
Disney’s Wide World of Sports
His responsibilities included budgeting, staffing, training,
event execution, maintenance and capital improvements just to mention a
few. Bill is celebrating 20 years in the sports facility industry in
2007. Bill is currently the President of the Stadium Managers Association
which has members from the National Football League, Major League Baseball,
Minor League Baseball, Major League Soccer, the Canadian Football League,
Universities/Colleges and other facilities that host sports and entertainment
events.
Bill currently has his own consulting business featuring
clients such as the New York Giants and New York Jets. He is working on
the new stadium which will be built for the Giants and Jets (projected cost,
$1.4 billion); opening is planned for 2010.
Bill was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey and
currently resides in West Orange, New Jersey with his wife Jodi and two
children Sean and Sydney. Bill’s oldest daughter, Ashley, works in
management with Aramark at
Fenway
Park.
